Matthew McCluster · IT support & systems · data center & networking · platform & backend · field technology & telematics
Matthew McCluster has worked in IT since 2018. He spent three years in desktop and IT support at Robert Half in Norwalk, Connecticut; worked on the transformation of a 5,000 sq ft data center at IPC Systems in Fairfield, Connecticut from 2021 to 2023; and since 2025 has designed and operated the platform behind McCluster Corp, the organization he founded: a PostgreSQL database with row-level security, serverless APIs on Cloudflare Workers, payments, Linux services, and the release automation that ships it. Through Whip Equipped LLC he works with GPS and fleet telematics and vehicle electrical and embedded diagnostics. He holds CompTIA ITF+ and a CT State Community College IT Bootcamp certificate, is a first-year Computer Science student at Southern Connecticut State University, and is available for on-site work across Connecticut and New York.
Recruiters search for this work under four different names. Each lane has its own page with the résumé lines, primary documents or public source that support it, and what that lane does not claim.
Windows and macOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, deployments, printers, VPN, email, ticketing and escalation.
Rack buildout, CAT6 and fiber, Cisco switching, DHCP, Windows and Linux servers, PDUs, environmental monitoring and decommissioning.
PostgreSQL and row-level security, serverless REST APIs, Linux services, CI and release gates, version-aware production operations.
GNSS/GPS and fleet telematics, vehicle power and data integration, electrical and embedded diagnostics, cameras, sensors and calibration workflows.
Job titles vary between employers. The recruiter role & evidence map lists the common titles in each lane, the evidence behind each lane, and where a claim is first-party (résumé) rather than backed by a primary document. Role titles there describe fit, not titles he has held.
